The
heart of the NAS Oceana airshow, and the part which sets it above most
other airshows, is the Fleet Airpower display. Tomcats and
Hornets, Hornets and Tomcats. |

Getting
all the aircraft into the air is actually one of the highlights of the
demo. |
|
|

After
taking some time to form up, the aircraft make a review pass. This
year it was separate flights with the Tomcats leading and the Hornets
last. |

After
the review pass, the guys take turns tearing the place up. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
With
the show over, most of the aircraft taxi by the crowd to give everyone a
chance to hear the sound of freedom up close. |

Later
in the day the F-14 and F-18 demo teams also performed. |
