The heart of the NAS Oceana airshow, and the part which sets it above most other airshows, is the Fleet Airpower display.  Tomcats and Hornets, Hornets and Tomcats.
Getting all the aircraft into the air is actually one of the highlights of the demo.
After taking some time to form up, the aircraft make a review pass.  This year it was separate flights with the Tomcats leading and the Hornets last.
After the review pass, the guys take turns tearing the place up.
With the show over, most of the aircraft taxi by the crowd to give everyone a chance to hear the sound of freedom up close.
Later in the day the F-14 and F-18 demo teams also performed.
